Change in Carrying Broker to Penson Financial Services Canada Inc.

We would like to notify you that Sprott Private Wealth LP has decided to change its Carrying Broker (Type 2 Introducing Broker relationship) in order to enhance current services and offerings to its existing and future clients. The Carrying Broker provides back office services such as execution, clearing and settlement of trades, custody of client funds and securities, and the maintenance of books and records of client transactions.

The change in Carrying Broker will provide Sprott Private Wealth LP clients with access to enhanced services and reporting such as:

  • Online account reporting 
  • Access to electronic account statements and trade confirmations 
  • Electronic Funds Transfer 
  • Flexible retirement payment schedules 
  • More account type offering (RESPs)
     

In the coming months, you will receive a sample of your new statement and instructions for setting up online access.

All information relating to your account(s) as well as assets will be transferred to Penson Financial Services Canada Inc. (Penson) from Cormark Securities Inc. on or about October 17, 2011 (the conversion date). This transition will be done at no cost to you and we will make every effort to ensure that the process is completely seamless. The privacy and security of your information will not be compromised during this process.

Your account will continue to be serviced by your Investment Advisor at Sprott Private Wealth LP. If you do not agree with Penson as our new Carrying Broker and would like to transfer your account to another firm, please ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed to transfer your account no later than September 15, 2011. Please note you will not incur any charges for transferring your account to another firm. If you do not make alternative arrangements, your account(s), cash and securities will automatically transfer, through Sprott Private Wealth LP, to Penson as our new Carrying Broker. Further communication will be forthcoming as we work toward the conversion date, including updated account documents that you will need to execute within 6 months of the conversion.
